I have been kicking along this summer feeling good. My bladder surgery was very sucessful, my LGL is in remission, and the new meds for my RA are in control.
What more could I ask...the at general check up my dr. brings up again from last year that I really need to get a colonoscopy. My 2 specialists have been saying the same thing. Everyone has told me they had them and no problem, go in ,wake up and it is over. Well it was either never go back to the dr. again, or argue everytime, so I decided to do it....just suck it up and get it over with.
Last Monday I went. went in fully expecting to get the needle and wake up on the other side with it over. No one in years that I have talked to have said they felt a thing.
Now I am all pissed because I became aware about 4 or 5 times that it hurt like hell. They gave me more sedation, but I thought one time and it should have lasted. I had to tell them4 or 5 times.
In recovery when I ask what was wrong with their drugs, the dr. said he thought I was just worried. Sure I was worried about the test, but had not been worried about feeling it. And me being worried had nothing to do with not enough drugs. Said he doubled them....well if I ever go back he better have a tripple supply.
I have not got my test results back yet as to the polyps. I they are all ok, I serioiusly doubt it I ever have an other.
I know they have a little camera you can swallow and wait til it comes through. That sounds like a test that could got go far wrong.

2010 HAS NOT BEEN AS BLANK AS IT LOOKS
I just realized I have been blogless for almost a year. I pop in and out and read my favorite blogs and comment pretty infrequently, but never feel like I have anything to say.
I have actually had a pretty good year. Had some needed surgery that was very sucessful, my LGL is in remission, and my RA is under control with meds that do not seem to be having any annoying side effects.
Went to Texas in July with 2 of my daughters and a granddaughter to visit other daughter and family. We went in our old van and the girls put hippie stickers all over it. We went to celebrate my youngest grandson turning 4.
Got another puppy to keep Charlie our Maltese company in Feb. He is a Morkie, he was 14 mo old and his name was Dallas. He fit in real fast. He is laid back and obeys, Charlie is hyper and minds like a cat. He has calmed down some and wants Dallas near him at all times.
Have gone to some auctions and garage sales and am still doing my Ebay selling. Guess you can call it a hobby because after "overhead" I probably do not make much. But I enjoy it.
Right now we are getting ready to have a garage sale. Our daughter brought down a ton of stuff and we have some to get rid of.
My mom will be 90 in November, so I have started the plan for her reception. I am not too creative, but we have a great "cake lady" in our town. You can tell her someones hobbies or likes and she comes up with a fantastic looking cake. And they taste good too.
I am sure I have done other things in the past year, but at least I have got a few down so I will not look back and have a whole blogless year.
Soon it will be Halloween, Thanksgiving, and there are only
106 Days, 5 Hours, 18 Minutes until Christmas of '2010

2010
I love the new year. I am always glad to put away the holiday decorations and get ready to start new. I like to have a project besides my "winter puzzle" that lasts til spring. This year it is a small one. I got some new wall decor for my bathroom and will be putting it together soon. That will give me a boost. As winter creeps on and I begin to want it over, I will be looking for new throw pillows. That is crazy, but new throw pillows always perk me up.
Wishing for a great new year for myself, as I am sort of a me person. And to everyone else.

SO, I HAVE A SICK SENSE OF HUMOR
Three Californian surgeons were playing golf together and discussing surgeries they had performed.. One of them said, "I'm the best surgeon in California . In my favorite case, a concert pianist lost sever fingers in an accident, I reattached them, and 8 months later he performed a private concert for the Queen of England ."
The second surgeon said, "That's nothing. A young man lost an arm and both legs in an accident, I reattached them and two years later he won a gold medal in track and field events at the Olympics."
The third surgeon said, "You guys are amateurs. Several years ago a woman was high on cocaine and marijuana and she rode a horse head-on into a train traveling 80 miles an hour. All I had left to work with was the woman's hair and the horse's ass. I was able to put them together and now she's Speaker of the House.

MY FACINATION PLANT FOR THE SUMMER
I began watching a small green plant that I was not sure would even have a bloom, did not know what it was. Jim planted the dried blooms that our daughter gave us last fall, that someone had given her and did not tell her what it was.
Then it grew and grew and began to put on little blooms, which have grown into hugh blooms. I finally found out it is a cockscomb. I did not know they ever got this big. I guess it will keep growing til frost. It is about 6 ft now.
This plant has made my summer, it is like a work in progress, and you have to check it, and if you miss a few days it has really changed.
